Apple is begonnen met het dwingen van Apple ID gebruikers om drie geheime vragen in te stellen. Dit zou nodig zijn voor Apple om in de toekomst je identiteit vast te kunnen stellen. Ook is je account hierdoor beter beveiligd en wordt hierdoor de kans dat anderen toegang kunnen krijgen tot je account dus een stuk kleiner. Naast drie geheime vragen dienen gebruikers ook een tweede e-mailadres in te vullen. Na het invullen van alle gegevens ontvangt de gebruiker een bevestigingsbericht via de mail:
